For over twenty-five years Bessel Motorsports, formerly known as Allied Motors Inc., has been defining machining leadership in the automotive field. Ronnie Besselman founded the company in the back of his house in the late 70’s. Back then they referred to this location as Back Alley, or BA, where the garage was located. Soon Ronnie's part time hobby started bringing in a great amount of profits. To Ronnie’s excitement, his “hobby” or “new business” was bringing in more money than his current full time position.

A few years later Ronnie decided to open a full service garage, which included a machine shop and repair center located at Boone and Jackson in St. Charles, Mo. Within the next seven years, Allied Motors, Inc. was so successful that it relocated to the current location at 700 First Capitol Drive in St. Charles, Mo. To handle the growing needs of the company they made the change to this larger facility. At this same time, Allied Motors, Inc. made an executive decision to streamline the business and focus only on the machine shop work.

In addition and probably the most impressive piece of Allied Motors, Inc. is the invention of the Bessel Splayed Caps. Simply put, the Bessel Motorsports Splayed Caps overwhelmingly increases cap stability. This breakthrough design improves reliability in high-stressed engines by locking-in with the block and reliving high stress loads in the middle of the block. Allied Motors has over a half a million dollars in equipment including a sophisticated CNC block station and Diamond hone among much other high tech equipment. With the introduction of the Bessel Splayed caps, Allied Motors restructured and now focuses on selling High Performance parts to the avid race enthusiast. The company went on to add its international website back in 1996, www.strokerkits.com. This website is the home of Stroker Kits and Allied Motors, Inc. In June 2008, to keep up with their products and focus, Allied Motors, Inc. was renamed Bessel Motorsports.
